Screwdrivers, also known as turn screws, are hand-held, manually-powered implements designed for the insertion and tightening of  screws . They are made up of a head or tip, which engages with a screw; a mechanism to apply torque by rotating the tip; and a way to position and support the screwdriver. The popular tool has a handle and a shaft that enable it to be positioned and supported, and when rotated, to apply torque. A screw has a head with a contour for appropriate screwdrivers tips to engage it in such a way that the application of sufficient torque to the screwdriver will cause the screw to rotate with the force of one hand. Screwdrivers come in a large variety of sizes to match those of screws, including tiny tip options for jewelers, cabinet makers and gunsmiths. Common tips include: Phillips Slotted (flat-head or 'standard') Six-point Square tip Stubby

What is CMOS?

Image
CMOS stands for “Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor.” The CMOS battery powers the BIOS firmware in your laptop.BIOS needs to remain operational even when your computer isn’t plugged into a power source. That’s where the battery comes in. When your computer gets unplugged, BIOS relies on the CMOS battery for power. You’ll find CMOS batteries in both laptops and desktop PCs, but it’s used more frequently in a laptop. That’s because laptops are usually unplugged for a longer amount of time than desktop PCs. Most desktop PCs are unplugged from their power source very infrequently. The CMOS battery gets charged whenever your laptop is plugged in. It’s only when your laptop is unplugged that the battery loses charge. Most batteries will last 2 to 10 years from the date they’re manufactured. The more you leave your laptop plugged in, the longer your battery will last.

Why broadband is cheaper than mobile data?

Image
Mobility is an important factor that Mobile broadband provides. You can access the network anywhere whether at home, in a bus, or in a restaurant or basement garage. For providing this mobility the operators have to enable all their 2G towers with systems that make it 3G or 4G enabled. This costs hefty money. The wired broadband connections on the other hand, just fix the cable once. Their network set up is lesser. They just need to pull cables from their distribution points or need to add a router. This is one reason, why mobile internet is costlier than wired.

Why developers prefer github?

Image
GitHub is an open-source platform, and the community is really what fuels it. There are millions of programmers and hobbyists that download, review, and evaluate each other's work. Moreover, GitHub is the platform of choice for developers from various large corporations, too. Microsoft is the number one contributor to the system, but there are also Google, SAP, AirBnB, IBM, PayPal, and many others.Unless you develop a very sensitive project, you’d be silly to not post your code on GitHub. Pushing the project to a shared, public repository makes it instantly discoverable for those 28M users. Exposure and insight that you can get on GitHub are simply unmatched by any other platform. And this goes the other way around — you can discover code written by others, learn from it, and even use it for your own projects.Versions control on GitHub works much like on MS Office or Google Drive — it tracks all the changes made to your code and who makes them. You can always review the detailed

pink whatsapp

Image
WhatsApp Pink is essentially malware or a malicious computer program that intends to hijack its target system. The virus gets its name from the alias under which it is being spread on WhatsApp groups. The carefully articulated message containing the virus promises the user to install a Pink-themed WhatsApp on their phone upon clicking a link. The message also contains images showing chats from a pink-coloured WhatsApp. Needless to say, the photos are as fake as the claims. The nefarious message also contains a link to an APK download. Users are asked to click on the link in order to download the Pink-themed WhatsApp. Any user clicking on the link is redirected to an APK download. This downloaded file is the real virus hidden in disguise. Since the users are eager to install the WhatsApp package, they do not realise that they are being duped into downloading a virus. They, hence, readily give the permissions that the package asks for on the smartphone. As cybersecurity expert Rajsh

Why do some websites start with www1?

Image
That's no standard, both "www" and "www1" are simply subdomains under the "schuh.co.uk" domain. Websites can be configured to have any number of subdomains, named pretty much however the webmaster or owner of the website wants. Subdomains in the form of "www" followed by a number sometimes indicate that the website is using a cluster of web servers for load balancing. In that case, "www1" points to the first web server, "www2" to the second, and so on, with each request to the main site being automatically transferred to the server with the least amount of load. (This was common in the past, but these days most websites just put all servers under the same subdomain, and rely on DNS or special load-balancers to do the job invisibly to users.)

Twitch

Image
Twitch is an American video live streaming service that focuses on video game live streaming, including broadcasts of esports competitions. In addition, it offers music broadcasts, creative content, and more recently, "in real life" streams. It is operated by Twitch Interactive, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc.[2] It was introduced in June 2011 as a spin-off of the general-interest streaming platform Justin.tv. Content on the site can be viewed either live or via video on demand. The popularity of Twitch eclipsed that of its general-interest counterpart. In October 2013, the website had 45 million unique viewers,[3]:38 and by February 2014, it was considered the fourth largest source of peak Internet traffic in the United States. At the same time, Justin.tv's parent company was re-branded as Twitch Interactive to represent the shift in focus – Justin.tv was shut down in August 2014. That month, the service was acquired by Amazon for US$970 million,[4][5] which later led

IGI 3 Coming Soon

Image
Working with one of its subsidiary developers by the name of Artplant, Toadman Interactive is set to release the next installment in the long-running covert ops shooter franchise IGI in 2021. The developer has revealed the name for the sequel to 2003's IGI 2: Covert Strike too, announcing that it will be called IGI 3: Origins. The game is said to follow the style of its predecessors by playing like a tactical stealth FPS, however, due to development still being in the early stages, we have yet to see much actual gameplay. That being said, Toadman has clarified that the game is in its prototyping stage. CEO of Toadman Interactive - Robin Flodin - has spoken about the upcoming release. "I'm so psyched to announce that the prototyping is going well, and we already have a fun base game to play in the studio," Flodin said. Fans of the first two games will be delighted to hear that the development team has one of the original creators of the franchise working with them,

STEVE JOBS

Image
Steve Jobs, in full Steven Paul Jobs, (born February 24, 1955, San Francisco, California, U.S.—died October 5, 2011, Palo Alto, California), cofounder of Apple Computer, Inc. (now Apple Inc.), and a charismatic pioneer of the personal computer era. Jobs was raised by adoptive parents in Cupertino, California, located in what is now known as Silicon Valley. Though he was interested in engineering, his passions of youth varied. He dropped out of Reed College, in Portland, Oregon, took a job at Atari Corporation as a video game designer in early 1974, and saved enough money for a pilgrimage to India to experience Buddhism. Back in Silicon Valley in the autumn of 1974, Jobs reconnected with Stephen Wozniak, a former high school friend who was working for the Hewlett-Packard Company. When Wozniak told Jobs of his progress in designing his own computer logic board, Jobs suggested that they go into business together, which they did after Hewlett-Packard formally turned down Wozniak’s design

Tips to maintain online privacy

Image
Massive data breaches, marketers tracking your every step online, shady people exploring the photos you shared in social networks. However, it’s not completely hopeless: You do have control over your data. Here’s how to improve your privacy online. Oversharing is not limited to social networks. Don’t use online services that are meant for sharing information to store your private data. For example, Google Docs isn’t an ideal place to store a list of passwords, and Dropbox is not the best venue for your passport scans unless they are kept in an encrypted archive. When you visit a website, your browser discloses a bunch of stuff about you and your surfing history. Marketers use that information to profile you and target you with ads. Incognito mode can’t really prevent such tracking; you need to use special tools such as a VPN or you may use Tor Browser Your reward for sharing your e-mail address and phone number? Tons of spam in your e-mail inbox and hundreds of robocalls on your phone

What is BIOS?

Image
Short for Basic Input/Output System, the BIOS (pronounced bye-oss) is a ROM chip found on motherboards that allows you to access and set up your computer system at the most basic level. The picture below is an example of what a BIOS chip may look like on a computer motherboard. The BIOS pictured is of an early AMIBIOS, a type of BIOS manufactured by AMI. The BIOS includes instructions on how to load basic computer hardware. It also includes a test referred to as a POST (Power-On Self-Test) that helps verify the computer meets requirements to boot up properly. If the computer does not pass the POST, you hear a combination of beeps indicating what is malfunctioning in the computer. Adding additional memory to a BIOS chip, as an upgrade, can only be done by replacing the existing BIOS chip with a new, more advanced BIOS chip. The data on a BIOS chip can be updated if it's a flash BIOS. Using specially designed software, the BIOS can be updated to fix problems or add new features f

What is IPFS?

Image
IPFS is a distributed system for storing and accessing files, websites, applications, and data. Instead of being location-based, IPFS addresses a file by what’s in it, or by its content. The content identifier above is a cryptographic hash of the content at that address. The hash is unique to the content that it came from, even though it may look short compared to the original content. It also allows you to verify that you got what you asked for — bad actors can’t just hand you content that doesn’t match. Why do we say “content” instead of “files” or “web pages” here? Because a content identifier can point to many different types of data, such as a single small file, a piece of a larger file, or metadata. (In case you don’t know, metadata is “data about the data.” You use metadata when you access the date, location, or file size of your digital pictures, for example.) So, an individual IPFS address can refer to the metadata of just a single piece of a file, a whole file, a directory,

Best software for program coding

Image
Visual Studio Code or VSC for short is one of the most popular source code editor used by the programmers. It's fast, it's lightweight and it's powerful too! Microsoft designed VSC as a cross-platform code editor for writing web and cloud applications. Visual Studio Code is a streamlined code editor with support for development operations like debugging, task running, and version control. It aims to provide just the tools a developer needs for a quick code-build-debug cycle and leaves more complex workflows to fuller featured IDEs, such as Visual Studio IDE. To understand why VsCode is not an IDE, you have to first understand the difference between an IDE and a code editor. Basing in this source, An IDE is not just a tool where you write the code, but you can also compile it and debug it. Text editors, on the other hand, tend to go for a broader approach.

Is a Private account really private?

Image
The content of your private account which you think is totally private also sells your data to third party websites. Suppose an account on Facebook and Instagram is not made private the search engines can index that data. The data which the third party websites has already fetched from the data of a search engine will not disappear from the internet even if the account is made private. It is true that the search engines cannot fetch any further data form the account as it is now a part of deep web.

What is a Crypto currency?

Image
A cryptocurrency is a digital or virtual currency that is secured by cryptography, which makes it nearly impossible to counterfeit or double-spend. Many cryptocurrencies are decentralized networks based on blockchain technology—a distributed ledger enforced by a disparate network of computers. A defining feature of cryptocurrencies is that they are generally not issued by any central authority, rendering them theoretically immune to government interference or manipulation. Cryptocurrencies are systems that allow for secure payments online which are denominated in terms of virtual "tokens," which are represented by ledger entries internal to the system. "Crypto" refers to the various encryption algorithms and cryptographic techniques that safeguard these entries, such as elliptical curve encryption, public-private key pairs, and hashing functions. The first blockchain-based cryptocurrency was Bitcoin, which still remains the most popular and most valuable. Today, th

Indian alternative for Whatsapp

Image
Sandes, previously named Government Instant Messaging System (GIMS), is an Indian freeware cross-platform instant messaging (IM) and Voice over IP (VoIP) service developed by the Government of India as an alternative to WhatsApp. The Sandes application works on both Android and iOS platforms, and is also accessible via its web portal. Even though a public launch date is not yet announced, the application can be download from official site. In 2019 the Government of India started a project to build an instant messaging platform named Government Instant Messaging System(GIMS) as part of its Make in India initiative. The main goal of the project was to provide a secure messaging platform to government employees for internal communication which doesn't arouse the security concerns attached with the communication platforms hosted abroad or those owned by foreign entities. The initial software testing started in mid-September 2019 and ran for an extensive period of time. Around 6,600 go

Android Studio supports all the same programming

DUCKDUCKGO-Privacy, Simplified

Image
Billed as the search engine that doesn't track you, DuckDuckGo processes around 1.5 billion searches every month. Google, for contrast, processes around 3.5 billion searches per day. ... In fact, in many respects, DuckDuckGo is better. But does Google own DuckDuckGo? Nope. It's not affiliated with Google and started in 2008 with a desire to give people another option. One of its first advertisements was urging people to look at Google with the slogan, “Google tracks you.To keep your searches private and out of data profiles, the government, and other legal requests, you need to use DuckDuckGo. We don't track you at all, regardless what browsing mode you are in. Each time you search on DuckDuckGo, it's as if you've never been there before.

MUMBAI GULLIES COMING SOON

Image
India has not been big destination for making video games, but we have had some successes recently and now another games wants to join these ranks. A new game called Mumbai Gullies from GameEon Studios aspires to get into the same league as the GTA series games. The trailer of the game is currently out in English as well as Hindi and though it does not show the gameplay, quite a bit of the environment is teased. GTA has always been a popular game series in India and to have an absolutely Indian version that is set in Mumbai would definitely be thrilling. While there isn't much information about the game currently available, the teaser does show some locations which we hope will be available in-game. The description of the teaser on YouTube reads, "Mumbai Gullies is exactly the game we have collectively dreamt for. It is the dream envisioned by our CEO Nikhil Malankar ever since he started his career along with his friend." We assume that the game plot would have some

SURF INTERNET ANONYMOUSLY

Image
Tor – which is occasionally referred to as “Onionland” because of its use of onion routing, with its encapsulation of network traffic in layer upon layer of encryption – is the best known and most widely used network other than the surface web. The Tor network is made up of entry, transit and exit nodes through which a user’s communication passes until it reaches its destination. The many hoops and the encryption used in each of them make it almost impossible to track or analyze a communication. The Tor network is estimated to have an average of 200,000 users, making it the biggest anonymous network at the moment. In a way, its popularity is a boon for users, as the Tor browser is very easy to use and supports many languages and various platforms, including Linux, Windows and even Android. In addition, browsing is relatively fast and consumes relatively few resources. Nevertheless, Tor is still a network of anonymous proxies, which are often overpopulated. It is very useful for trad

KOO APP-NEW BLOG AFTER A LONG TIME

Image
As the Indian government remains locked in a battle with Twitter over its demand for suspension of accounts which, it alleges, has spread misinformation regarding the farmers’ protest, government officials and ministries have set up accounts on an Indian micro-blogging platform called Koo. It functions just as Twitter does, but Koo provides users with the option of writing text in several Indian languages. Koo was one of the winners of a competition that was launched by the Union ministry of electronics and information technology in July last year to find alternatives to Chinese apps. Koo had won under the “social” category along with two other apps. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had mentioned Koo while announcing the winners on his Mann Ki Baat radio address in August. However, the app didn’t quite make it big until now. Modi, though, is yet to join Koo and remains active on Twitter. This February, after Twitter refused to ban the accounts the govt. asked it to, several ministers ma

PlayStation 5 - Best Features

Image
next generation of PlayStation is finally here with the arrival of the PS5. This generation, it seems like Sony is sticking with the approach that made the PS4 so successful: sell consoles that can play first-party games from Sony’s storied franchises, and supplement that lineup with great third-party titles, too. You should expect to see better graphics in your games, and the PS5 will also support high refresh rates, which should make games feel smoother (if you have a display that supports those refresh rates). Plus, the PS5’s custom SSD promises to offer such a leap forward in loading speeds that it could change the way games are designed. We’ve already reviewed the PS5, and it turns out that the console is pretty good. Its new controller is amazing, games load quickly, and the console has a more streamlined user interface than the PS4. We felt that it left a great first impression — even if there aren’t a lot of actual next-generation games to play just yet. Microsoft also has

SHOULD YOU USE SIGNAL?

Image
Privacy and security are top priorities for many internet users. Unfortunately, it seems it's increasingly difficult to find a messaging app that doesn't leak your information. User data is a desired commodity in this modern world of tech. And yet many platforms share your sensitive information with other parties for profit. Although exploiting your personal conversations is common with many popular messaging apps, there are still a handful of apps prioritizing the privacy of their users. Signal seems to be the perfect alternative to traditional messaging apps. For starters, Signal is completely free to use. It doesn't cost a dime to download the app, and there are no subscription fees. Many apps that highlight their extra security measures make users pay something to try their services. These fees deter individuals from ditching the free, popular social messaging apps that are notorious for their privacy issues. Signal is a risk-free investment for someone considering s

The most powerful computer

Image
The Mac Mini (stylized as Mac mini) is a SFF-class desktop computer made by Apple Inc. It is one of four desktop computers in the current Macintosh lineup, serving as an alternative to the all-in-one iMac, and sitting below the performance range iMac Pro and Mac Pro. The Mac Mini is Apple's only consumer desktop computer since 1998 to ship without a display, keyboard, or mouse. Apple initially marketed it as BYODKM (Bring Your Own Display, Keyboard, and Mouse),[2] pitching it to users switching from a traditional PC running operating systems such as Microsoft Windows[3] or Linux. It uses many laptop components to achieve its compact size.[4] The Mac Mini was introduced in January 2005, using PowerPC G4 processors. The second-generation Mac Mini, introduced in February 2006, carried over the design of the PowerPC version, but used Intel Core processors and other upgraded components, and made wireless connections such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi standard. The third-generation Mac Mini

WINDOWS 10 X - Its almost ready

Image
Windows 10X has revamped interface, starting with its most distinctive feature, the updated taskbar. The taskbar features icons relocated to the center, with the Start menu now being completely redesigned. It also features a new notification center with redesigned shortcuts. The OS also has a heavily simplified File Manager and launches all apps fullscreen. Windows 10X is a stripped-down version of Windows. This OS is not meant as an upgrade or replacement to the current Windows 10 on desktop but rather for low cost Chromebook-style notebooks and tablets. The biggest concern with this version would be that it doesn't support any legacy Windows app yet, which means you're limited to apps from the Microsoft Store and web apps. Having said that, not everything about this version seems bad. The refreshed UI seems like a good thing to bring to the current version of desktop Windows, as long as Microsoft doesn't insist on also bringing that terrible File Manager replacement. It

The new RTX 3060 Graphics Card is awesome

Image
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti might just be the most appealing option out of all the Nvidia Ampere releases. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 might push the boundaries of what we can expect from graphics cards with their sheer power, but it’s this mid-range offering that makes the Ampere technology more accessible to mainstream users. Delivering great performance at a price that most people can afford, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, it's the best valued GPU in the new line coming in at $399 (about £299, AU$540). That means it’s more affordable than the RTX 3070 while boasting performance that’s on par with the RTX 2080 Super – better in some cases. With it, budget gamers can now play on Ultra settings with ray tracing turned on at 1440p. Imagine getting that kind of performance from a new AAA game like Cyberpunk 2077. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is a great and affordable way to tackle the latest and greatest in gaming, especially if 4K is not that important and yo

Windows Insider Programme

It features three levels, or "rings:" Fast, Slow and Release Preview rings. Microsoft releases unfinished builds of Windows 10 to Insiders in the Fast ring, and they submit feedback to Microsoft about what they like, dislike, and any issues th

Your whatsapp chat is available on google

Image
WhatsApp groups are showing up on Google search yet again. As a result, anyone could discover and join a private WhatsApp group by simply searching on Google. This was first discovered in 2019, and was apparently fixed last year after becoming public. Another old issue, which also appeared to have been fixed but seems to be cropping up again, is user profiles showing up through search results. People's phone numbers and profile pictures could be surfaced through a simple a Google search, because of the issue. By allowing the indexing of group chat invites, WhatsApp is making several private groups available across the Web as their links can be accessed by anyone using a simple search query on Google — although we are not sharing the exact details, this was verified by Gadgets 360. Someone who finds these links can join the groups and would also be able to see the participants and their phone numbers alongside the posts being shared within those groups.

MYTH ABOUT THE REFRESH BUTTON

Image
“Do you refresh your desktop?”. Ask this to any Windows user and 9 out of 10 will reply with a “yes”. Sometimes you might need to refresh the desktop but the majority of people who refresh their desktop don’t even know why they are doing it. Refreshing the desktop is perhaps the biggest computer myth among all Windows users.Every single person I have met does this or at least used to do it. The legacy of this remarkably useless trick, unfortunately, could not be traced back to the genius who invented it, but it has been handed down since them from one generation of clueless Windows users to the next. Most new users learn this trick from other users without attempting to find out what it achieves. Some do it just because others do it. Some even have weird explanations for it. Some people assumes that it refreshes the RAM, while some others believe that doing it will somehow keep their PCs running smooth and easy. I have seen users obsessed with refreshing the desktop, doing it every 3

What is an Open Source Software?

Image
The term open source refers to something people can modify and share because its design is publicly accessible. The term originated in the context of software development to designate a specific approach to creating computer programs. Today, however, "open source" designates a broader set of values—what we call "the open source way." Open source projects, products, or initiatives embrace and celebrate principles of open exchange, collaborative participation, rapid prototyping, transparency, meritocracy, and community-oriented development.Open source software is software with source code that anyone can inspect, modify, and enhance. "Source code" is the part of software that most computer users don't ever see; it's the code computer programmers can manipulate to change how a piece of software—a "program" or "application"—works. Programmers who have access to a computer program's source code can improve that program by addi

Worth noting: Dark web website addresses end with . onion instead of the surface web's .com, .Accessing the dark web requires the use of an anonymizing browser called Tor. Reddit (/ˈrɛdɪt/, stylized in its logo as reddit) is an American social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website. Registered members submit content to the site such as links, text posts, and images, which are then voted up or down by other members. Posts are organized by subject into user-created boards called "communities" or "subreddits", which cover a variety of topics such as news, politics, science, movies, video games, music, books, sports, fitness, cooking, pets, and image-sharing. Submissions with more up-votes appear towards the top of their subreddit and, if they receive enough up-votes, ultimately on the site's front page. Despite strict rules prohibiting harassment, Reddit's administrators spend considerable resources on moderating the site.[5] As of October 2020, Reddit ranks as the 17th-most-visited website in the world and 7th most-visited website in the US, according to Alexa Internet, with 40.9% of its user base coming

Java & Javascript-What is the difference?

Image
Both Java and JavaScript are written, assembled and executed differently, and each has dramatic differences when it comes to what it is capable of doing. Java is used in a wide range of places, including Android apps, credit card programming and in the creation of desktop applications and web enterprise applications. By comparison, JavaScript is mainly used to make web pages more interactive. It can be used as an alternative to Flash, though most programmers will tell you that JavaScript is more popular and has more functionality than Flash. JavaScript can be used to do neat things like creating animation in HTML. In a nutshell, when it comes to how each language is used, Java is typically used for all server side development, while JavaScript is reserved for developing client side scripts for functions like validation and interactivity. There are some other key differences: Java code must be compiled, and JavaScript code is all-text. Each language requires different plug-ins. Java

TECH IN BANGLADESH

Image
In Bangladesh, the cultivation of modern science started during the British rule when the first modern educational institutions, focused on scientific fields, were established in the country. The University of Dhaka, established in 1921, acted as the driving force in producing many renowned scientists in Bangladesh. Since its independence in 1971, Bangladesh has been plagued with many social issues like poverty, illiteracy etc. Hence, science and technology have lagged behind in the priority list of the successive governments. However, induced by the recent economic progress, science and technology has been witnessing intense growth in the country after a period of stagnation, most notably in the information technology and biotechnology sectors. The national policies for science and technology is planned and developed by the National Council for Science and Technology which is controlled by the ministry of science and technology.[1]

OVERCLOCKING EXPLAINED

Image
Overclocking is the action of increasing a component’s clock rate, running it at a higher speed than it was designed to run. This is usually applies to the CPU or GPU, but other components can also be overclocked. Increasing a component’s clock rate causes it to perform more operations per second, but it also produces additional heat. Overclocking can help squeeze more performance out of your components, but they’ll often need additional cooling and care. Your computer’s CPU comes from the factory set to run at a certain maximum speed. If you run your CPU at that speed with proper cooling, it should perform fine without giving you any problems. However, you’re often not limited to that CPU speed. You can increase the CPU’s speed by setting a higher clock rate or multiplier in the computer’s BIOS, forcing it to perform more operations per second. This can speed up your CPU — and therefore speed up your computer if your computer is limited by its CPU — but the CPU will produce additi
